Bronx Brilliance: Anthony Ramirez II Joins the Community Enterprise Accelerator Cohort 3!

We have some exciting news to share! From The Bronx's co-founder, Anthony Ramirez II, has been selected as one of five exceptional entrepreneurs for Cohort 3 of the Community Enterprise Accelerator (CEA)!

The Community Enterprise Accelerator (CEA) is a Bronx-based nonprofit co-founded by Level Up Ventures (a Hearst subsidiary) and Elevate Digital. Their mission is to help Bronx businesses grow by addressing systemic barriers that limit access to funding, mentorship, and infrastructure. 

Through their 9-month fellowship program, CEA provides talented local entrepreneurs with funding, business development training, and connections to a powerful network of partners. The program is aimed at building a stronger, inclusive economy for everyone in The Bronx.

On December 12, 2025, the Bronx business community gathered at DREAM Charter High School for "Bronx Brilliance," a special event celebrating the launch of Cohort 3. The energy in the room was a testament to the thriving, creative businesses right here in our borough. 

During the event, Anthony shared a story many of us have heard before, but never get tired of. Way back in 2006, Anthony was working as an after-school program coordinator at the South Bronx Overall Economic Development Corporation (SoBRO). He and his friend John Martin were looking to decorate their classrooms and offices with positive Bronx imagery but couldn't find anything other than Bronx Zoo ads or posters for Rumble in The Bronx (a movie filmed in Vancouver!). They couldn't find anything that showed real Bronx pride. So, they decided to save up their lunch money and make their own posters. That need to showcase our borough’s history, culture, and identity is how From The Bronx was born.
