Privacy policy

Last updated: September 1, 2026

From The Bronx runs fromthebronx.com and also sells in person. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, who we share it with, and the choices you have.

Questions go to hello@fromthebronx.com.

WHAT WE COLLECT

When you browse the site: your IP address, browser and device type, time zone, which pages and products you look at, what you search for and how you move around. This is collected automatically through cookies and similar technologies.

When you order: your name, email, phone number, billing and shipping addresses, and what you bought. Your card details go directly to our payment processor. We never see or store your full card number.

When you make an account: your name, email, password and order history.

When you contact us: whatever you put in the message, plus your email address and order number.

When you buy from us in person: what you bought and how you paid, through Shopify Point of Sale. If you ask for a receipt by email or text, we collect that too.

When you book a tour: your name, email, phone number, the date and the size of your party.

When you sign up for marketing: your email address, and your phone number if you opt into texts.

WHY WE COLLECT IT

To take your order, process payment, ship it and keep you posted. To answer your questions. To run and improve the site. To screen orders for fraud. To show you our products on other sites and to send you email or texts if you asked for them. To meet our tax and legal obligations.

WHO WE SHARE IT WITH

We do not sell your information for money. We share it with the companies that help us run the business:

  • Shopify, which hosts our store and processes orders and payments
  • Payment processors offered at checkout, including Shop Pay and PayPal
  • Shipping carriers: USPS, UPS and DHL Express
  • Meta (Facebook and Instagram), TikTok, X, Google and YouTube, and Microsoft, for advertising and measuring whether it works
  • Google, including Google Analytics, to understand how the site is used
  • Etsy and Faire, where we also sell
  • BookThatApp, which runs our tour bookings
  • Our print and fulfillment partners, for the items they produce
  • Anyone we are legally required to share it with, such as in response to a subpoena or other lawful request

Shopify also uses store data across its own network to improve product recommendations and ad targeting.

ADVERTISING

The advertising and analytics tools above place cookies or similar identifiers in your browser so we can show you our products later and measure whether our ads worked. Under several US state privacy laws this counts as "selling" or "sharing" your personal information for targeted advertising, even though no money changes hands.

You can opt out at any time through Your privacy choices, linked in our footer. You can also opt out at the platform level through Meta's ad settings, Google's ad settings and Microsoft's personalized ads settings.

Two industry opt-out portals cover many advertisers at once: the Network Advertising Initiative at optout.networkadvertising.org and the Digital Advertising Alliance at optout.aboutads.info.

COOKIES

Cookies are small files a site stores in your browser. We use ones that are necessary to run the store, such as keeping your cart and keeping you logged in, and others that measure site usage and support advertising.

Visitors in the UK, the EEA and Switzerland see a cookie banner and can accept, decline or manage preferences. Blocking cookies is your right, but parts of the site may stop working properly. You can also manage cookies in your browser settings, and allaboutcookies.org explains how.

YOUR RIGHTS AND CHOICES

If you live in a US state with a privacy law, including California, you may have the right to know what we collect, get a copy of it, correct it, delete it, and opt out of targeted advertising and of the sharing described above.

Email hello@fromthebronx.com or use Your privacy choices in our footer. We will not treat you differently for exercising any of these rights.

Global Privacy Control: our store recognizes GPC signals from your browser and treats them as an opt out where the law requires it.

If you live in the UK or the EEA, you can ask us to access, correct, delete or port your information, and you can object to how we use it. We process your information on the basis of your consent, our contract with you, our legal obligations, and our legitimate interests in running the store.

If you are not satisfied with our response, you can complain to your local data protection authority.

Marketing: every marketing email has an unsubscribe link, and you can reply STOP to any text.

HOW LONG WE KEEP IT

We keep order records for as long as we need them to run the business and for as long as tax and accounting law requires. We keep marketing contact details until you unsubscribe. You can ask us to delete your information at any time and we will, unless we are required to keep it.

WHERE YOUR INFORMATION IS STORED

In the United States. If you are outside the US, your information is transferred to and stored there.

CHILDREN

The site is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has given us information, email us and we will delete it.

SECURITY

We take reasonable steps to protect your information, and our store and checkout run over encrypted connections. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot promise absolute security.

CHANGES

We update this policy from time to time to reflect changes in how we work or what the law requires. The date at the top tells you when it last changed.
