From The Bronx x Fordham University: Welcoming New Students with NYC Pride

Fordham University, a prestigious institution in the heart of The Bronx, has long been committed to fostering community engagement and shaping future leaders. One standout initiative is the Urban Plunge program, a three-day pre-orientation program designed for incoming students who are critical thinkers and share a deep commitment to social justice advocacy. During Urban Plunge, students are given an opportunity to explore New York City’s neighborhoods through a lens of community, diversity, and engagement.

This year, From The Bronx was honored to collaborate with Fordham University to help make the Urban Plunge experience even more memorable. We printed two exclusive tote bags—one for the incoming freshmen and another for their parents—and curated special gift bags that showcased the talent and creativity of NYC-based businesses.

The gift bags included assorted cookies from Soul Snacks, beautifully designed vintage postcards by History101.NYC, basil seeds from Green Bronx Machine, a detailed garden map by the New York Botanical Garden, a New York City Lapel Pin by NYC Tourism & Conventions and a Greetings from The Bronx Postcard by From The Bronx. Each item was thoughtfully selected to reflect the unique flavor and spirit of New York City while supporting the incredible businesses work hard to celebrate our home.
