Bronze Sponsors at the Garden: From The Bronx at ABNY Celebrates The Bronx
On Thursday, October 22, the Association for a Better New York brought its borough-by-borough celebration to the New York Botanical Garden for ABNY Celebrates The Bronx, and From The Bronx was proud to be there as a partner, a bronze sponsor, and a vendor.

Who Is ABNY?
Since 1971, ABNY has worked to strengthen New York City's civic fabric. It's a coalition of nearly 300 member organizations from business, nonprofits, labor, education, health, culture, and government, and in its own words, it "convenes, mobilizes, and activates the region's public and private sectors." Its ABNY Celebrates NYC series highlights the best of each borough. After a summer celebration of Queens at Forest Hills Stadium, The Bronx was next.
A Night at the Garden
The evening reception brought together business, nonprofit, labor, community, and government leaders from across the borough for local food, drinks, and behind-the-scenes access to the Garden, one of ABNY's member organizations, with remarks from Bronx Borough President Vanessa L. Gibson. Anthony and Paul served on the Host Committee alongside leaders from the Bronx Chamber of Commerce, Fordham University, Lehman College, BronxWorks, the Belmont BID, the Bronx River Alliance, and many more.

Our Part
As a partial in-kind sponsor, we provided a mix of 150 From The Bronx hard enamel pins for guests to take home from the check-in tables, which put us on the welcome sign as a bronze sponsor. We also brought our bright red "The Bronx" comic-style backdrop as an extra photo op, and set up our own table where guests could shop Bronx merch. Paul and Derick worked the event and ran our table.

The reception was tremendous, and it proves what we've believed all along: there is real demand for positive, Bronx-themed merch that celebrates our borough.
