From The Bronx Joins NFTE for National and World Youth Entrepreneurship Challenges
From The Bronx co-founder Anthony Ramirez II recently had the honor of volunteering with Network for Teaching Entrepreneurship (NFTE) for the National Youth Entrepreneurship Challenge (NYEC) quarterfinals and World Youth Entrepreneurship Challenge (WYEC) Week in New York City.
As a judge for the National Youth Entrepreneurship Challenge quarterfinals held at the InterContinental New York Times Square in October, Anthony had the opportunity to evaluate and provide feedback to young entrepreneurs pitching their innovative business ideas. "These young entrepreneurs blew me away, and I can’t wait to see what they do next!" he shared.
Beyond judging, Anthony also joined a panel of local business leaders during World Youth Entrepreneurship Week in November for a Q&A session at Union Bank of Switzerland, where he shared his journey as an entrepreneur alongside fellow business owners, including NFTE alumni. The session gave students valuable insights into the highs and lows of building a business, the importance of mentorship, and how entrepreneurship can drive change in underrepresented communities. "It was an honor to share my journey and connect with the talented young minds at NFTE WYEC 2024. Here's to the future leaders who will carry these lessons forward!"
NFTE’s mission is to provide equitable access to entrepreneurship education, empowering students with the tools to create their own opportunities. Events like NYEC and WYEC showcase the power of mentorship and real-world learning, inspiring the next generation of entrepreneurs to own their futures.
