A Bronx Adventure: The NYBG Holiday Train Show 2024

Not an ad—just an absolute blast! Last week, we pulled up to the New York Botanical Garden’s Holiday Train Show, and let’s just say, it’s definitely one of our new favorite winter traditions.

The Journey Begins ☕️🚍

First things first—we got there in style. The Tea Around Town NYC bus scooped us up from the city (yes, we went from The Bronx to midtown so we could experience the ride) and gave us the royal treatment with tea and treats. If you’re looking for a smooth way to get to The Bronx (while also feeling fancy), this is it.

Wait… The Exhibits Are Made of What?! 🌿

Once inside NYBG, we were hit with a mind-blowing realization: every single exhibit is made from plants. We knew this going in, but seeing it up close? Different. Think Yankee Stadium, the Brooklyn Bridge, Grand Central—all handcrafted out of leaves, bark, and twigs. The level of detail had us saying, "HOW?!" every five seconds.

Trains zipped through mini NYC landmarks, weaving through this tiny, botanical wonderland, and honestly? It was straight-up magical.

The Holiday Train Show runs through January 20, 2025, which means you’ve got some time—but don’t sleep on it. Whether you’re into model trains, jaw-dropping craftsmanship, or just need a solid excuse to get out and do something fun, this one’s a must-see.
