Bringing Bronx Flavor to The Lower East Side
On April 30th, The Bronx Beer Hall was proud to represent at Grand Street Settlement’s 2025 Taste of the Lower East Side at Metropolitan Pavilion. The event brought together dozens of top neighborhood restaurants, chefs, and community champions for a night of food, drinks, and celebration in support of a powerful cause.

Grand Street Settlement has been serving New Yorkers since 1916, providing essential programs for more than 17,500 people each year. From early childhood education to youth development, senior services, housing support, and food access, their work spans generations and neighborhoods across the city. Proceeds from this event go directly toward funding these programs, helping Grand Street continue to provide vital services to families who need them most.

We were especially moved by the heartfelt tribute for our friend King Phojanakong, the beloved chef behind Kuma Inn, Umi Nom, Bronx Hot Sauce, and Small Axe Peppers. His legacy of creativity, kindness, and community uplift was present throughout the evening. It was a beautiful reminder of the power of food to connect, inspire, and heal.

To everyone who stopped by our table for a beer or slushie, said hello, or shared a story, THANK YOU. Nights like this remind us why we do what we do.
